P.E.S. College of Engineering, Mandya is one of the pioneer Engineering Colleges in India. Presently it is affiliated to the Visveswaraiah Technological University and is recognised by the All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. Previously it is affiliated to the University of Mysore. It is an institution functioning under the grant-in-aid scheme of Government of Karnatka. The College was established in the year 1962 by People's Education Society currently known as People's Education Trust (R), with the help of philanthropic farmers of Mandya District.
Placement and Training Cell
P E S College of Engineering, Mandya has an exclusive Placement and Training Centre to facilitate on-campus Placement opportunities to the students. The Centre has a professor in-charge of the activities. The Centre provides pre-placement training in soft skills to all the Students to enable them to acquaint to the current corporate requirements. The centre facilitates students to face interviews & get jobs of their choice. More than 100 top and well established companies across the country/abroad from all sectors visit the campus for recruitment. Every year more than 80% of students from all the programs are being placed. Most of the top companies across the nation, visit us for Campus Recruitment. There is tremendous competition amongst companies to visit the Campus to recruit the best talent of the Institution.
The following major functions are performed by the Department of Placement & Training:
- Prepare, Maintain & Update Database in respect of all students of Pre-Final and Final Year UG & PG Courses run by the College.
- Organize pre-placement training to all the Under & PG students in their pre-final year. For this, top professional agencies are engaged to train the students over a period of 4-5 days in having their technical, analytical and soft skills.
- With the assistance of faculty members and student co-ordinators – organize the logistic support to the companies who visit the College for placements by assisting them in conducting of Presentation, Testing, Group Discussions and Interviews.
- Assist the Companies to organize Campus Connect Programmes and Workshops for the benefit of the students.
- Placement Office also co-ordinates and helps the students to secure project work/dissertation work in reputed companies.
